Marina Paes is a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist qualified by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. She is currently undertaking the fifth year of Interdisciplinary Training in Adult Psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, which is one of the most advanced psychoanalytic psychotherapy trainings in the UK. Marina has trained as Psychologist and Psychotherapist at PUC-SP (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo) and holds a Masters degree in Psychoanalytic Studies from the Tavistock Centre.
Marina has been working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in different settings throughout the past ten years. She currently sees patients for psychotherapy privately, in the NHS and at LAWRS. In Brazil, Marina worked at various social projects, including Fundação Julita, a foundation that offers support for children living in a very deprived area of São Paulo.
Marina is a member of the BPC (British Psychotherapy Council – 22713), BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy – 00920958), TSP (Tavistock Society for Psychotherapists), BPS (British Psychological Society – MBPsS 321744) and of CRP-SP (Conselho Regional de Psicologia de São Paulo– 06/102645).
