Marina Paes is a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Intercultural Psychodynamic Psychotherapist qualified by the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. Marina has trained as a Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist at PUC-SP (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo) and holds a Masters degree in Psychoanalytic Studies from the Tavistock Centre.
Marina has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in different settings for over fifteen years. She is currently the Lead for Psychodynamic Psychotherapies at the City & Hackney Specialist Psychotherapy Service (NHS East London Foundation Trust) and sees patients for psychotherapy privately. Previously, Marina worked in various social projects, including the Single Homeless Project (SHP), one of CHT’s therapeutic communities and LAWRS (Latin American Women’s Rights Service).
Marina is a member of the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council – 22713), BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy , Registered Member – 381287), TSP (Tavistock Society for Psychotherapists) and of CRP-SP (Conselho Regional de Psicologia de São Paulo– 06/102645).
